An Indo-Chinese, born in Cholon, Vietnam. The youngest of six children. I was the only one that escaped Vietnam. My parents loved me so much they willingly let me, their four year old daughter, go to another country with hopes that I would have the opportunity to live a better life. Their actions opened the doors to many opportunities that my parents and my siblings never had.
I want the men and women that sacrificed their lives, for me, to know that I am very grateful for them. Although I do not know their names or faces, your lives impacted me. You made a difference. You are my heroes. Thank you.
