Northrup stands amid posters and flyers advertising his poetry readings around the country. He's the author of a book of stories, Walking the Rez Road. His column, "Fond du Lac Follies," appears in several American Indian newspapers. Northrup recently wrote and peformed a one-man show in Minneapolis: "Rez Road 2000." The Vietnam War figures prominently in Northrup's writing.
