Stephen Klubock, Vietnam veteran
Moorpark, CA, USA

I was an Army combat photographer in VN in 1968 and 1969 with the 221st Signal Corps in I Corps. I have carried these images in my mind's eye for over 32 years, complete with sound and smell! I had worked very hard to forget everything I saw, did, condoned and photographed, without success. From the perspective I had in VN, the injustice of the sensless deaths of so many people and having to record the activity left me with a deep sense of isolation and fear for most of my adult life. I had discovered that 95% of all our documentation was destroyed, so I kept 400 shots of the last 3 patrols in which I took part and am working on a display, and presentation of my work with narraration, captions and stories of what I saw. I am also getting in contact with High Schools to start guest lectures. i would welcome the opportunity to share my experiences.
