When listening to Michael Baronowski's tapes I remembered my brother's (Dr. Humberto Arrillaga) words. When I asked him why he had signed for a second tour in Vietnam instead of opting for the safety of a hospital back on base, he answered: "because the love and friendships found in Vietnam are not found in a hospital." How ironic that, after returning to the "safety" of U.S. soil, he lost his life in a boat accident, away from the dangers of war and of his Vietnam friends.
