Campaign '68

Many see similarities between the 2016 presidential election campaign and one almost half a century earlier. The 1968 presidential campaign was one of the most dramatic and significant contests for the White House in the 20th century. It was a close, bitterly-fought campaign in a raucous, bloody year. From: Lawrence L., Schroeder, MN

Implement a flat 15 percent income tax on all income over $30,000 per year. No exclusions, no exemptions. With the resultant influx of revenue into the United States treasury, we can balance the federal budget, implement public works projects rebuilding crumbling infrastructure, and put people to work. That should reduce poverty for anyone willing to work.
