Reduce government spending and lower taxes

Giving people money does not reduce poverty. Government spending does not reduce poverty. Government spending only shifts the burden to future generations and/or raises taxes. The only solution is to reduce government spending and to reduce taxes. This will spur growth and employment. Remember the wisdom of Ronald Reagan: government is not the solution, government is the problem.
